In the money – Epulze beats faster with €5.5 million in funding
There are a number of people who have been with Mobius from the beginning – and one of those is Tony Chang of Epulze, one of Sweden’s leading esports tournament platforms. Ever since Mobius Interactive’s planning stages, the two companies have strategized and collaborated on running online esports tournaments, giving players access to the best esports games in the business. This year promises that it will be a match made in heaven!
It’s for this reason that we’re so excited to see one of our preferred esports tournament partners taking such huge leaps forward in the industry – this time having successfully secured approximately €5.57 million in their latest funding round.
With Epulze currently supporting games such as Dota 2, CS:GO, and Valorant, this new investment will allow them to add new games to their portfolio, while growing and developing their current system of tournaments, events and broadcast productions. “With new money in the coffers, we will be able to accelerate growth, and increase awareness of our offering,” says CEO and co-founder Mattias Lövgren.
When it comes to the gaming industry, a win for one of us is a win for us all, especially when it’s a company tied so closely to Mobius Interactive’s own fortunes. Congratulations Epulze – may this be only the beginning of good things to come!
MOBIUS INTERACTIVE GETS MULTI-MILLION SUPPORT
This month sees Mobius Interactive hitting the headlines in a big way – with $2 million in financing! Following the latest industry trend of unprecedented growth, this generous financing will allow us to market our sportsbook, iGaming casino, live casino and esports offerings in three of the world’s biggest gaming markets, namely India, Brazil and Mexico.
While Mobius is already firmly established in Europe and Scandinavia, our commitment to growth, development and global customer excellence is helping us pave the way for entry into new markets. With $2 million in financing to back us, we’ll be able to market ourselves aggressively to these lucrative regions with media blitzes and mobile and social media campaigns, as well as over 750 VIP and master affiliates with established sports betting and casino traffic in these markets.
There’s never been a better time to invest in Mobius Interactive’s future, and we’re excited about the returns the iGaming market looks set to bring, especially in this current boom. Watch out world – we’re coming for you!
BETSSON MOVES INTO MEXICO
It seems as if Mexico is the hottest new trend in iGaming right now. Not only is Mobius Interactive in talks with a licensed land-based casino operating facility to deliver our online sportsbook and casino to the Mexican market, but Betsson is set to launch its own Mexican brand by the end of the year. Great gaming minds think alike!
“This is yet another expansion into the LatAm region which we see so much potential in,” says Betsson chief executive Jesper Svensson of the upcoming partnership with Big Bola Casinos. “As we have done in Brazil, Colombia, and the Province of Buenos Aires in Argentina, we are teaming up with a local partner that lives and breathes the local culture.
The Latin American market is an exciting, diverse and lucrative one, which is why Mobius Interactive is also actively exploring it as an upcoming growth opportunity. Just wait for our formal announcement – it’ll be here before you know it!
WOLF OF WALL STREET GETS HIS GAME ON
If one of the names on the GameSquare Esports advisory board sounds familiar to you, that’s probably because you’ve heard of him before – and likely even watched the movie based on his life. It’s the Wolf of Wall Street himself, Jordan Belfort, and this author, speaker and former stockbroker is set to bring his considerable expertise to the world of esports, specifically within the investment and business community.
It’s an interesting choice, but one that ultimately makes sense. “Esports is a new form of entertainment that doesn’t follow the rules of traditional media and entertainment,” says GameSquare Esports CEO, Justin Kenna. “Throughout his career Jordan has challenged the status quo, has recognised opportunities that others have overlooked, and has been a voice that people listen to. Jordan has identified esports as a game changer in entertainment and investing and we could not be happier that he has chosen GameSquare as a company that he has dug into and agreed to support.”
Having signed on to partner with GameSquare in an upcoming influencer campaign, Belfort’s participation will be keenly observed by industry players – and we’ll be keeping an eye on developments too. It’s this kind of out-of-the-box thinking that’s needed to take the industry forward and keep players constantly entertained and engaged – and if it works, it could help to blaze a trail for other non-traditional esports and gaming partnerships going forward.
